With so many bars in the Myrtle Beach area, it can be hard to decide where to go out with the fellas after a day on the course. To help you decide, we’ve created a list of our favorite bars in the central Myrtle Beach area.
How many of these bars have you visited?
Pine Lakes Tavern
Looking for a hole-in-the-wall locals’ spot? Look no further – Pine Lakes Tavern is for you.
Located off Business 17 and right behind Pine Lakes Country Club, Pine Lakes Tavern is your definition of a dive bar. With outdoor and indoor seating, you’ll often find a local singer or band playing live music, which adds to the charm.
You’ll find traditional bar food on the menu, but we’d recommend the wings. The kitchen makes a homemade sauce that combines a sweet taste with a zesty kick!
Myrtle Beach’s newest and most-talked-about oceanfront bar, RipTydz, has been receiving rave reviews since its opening last fall. The three-level bar sits on 13th Ave. North and always has live music and a fun atmosphere!
At RipTydz, you’ll find beach vibes mixed with the modern feel of big-city bars. With an extensive drink menu, happy hour specials and a robust food menu, you can’t go wrong with trying this new bar out!
RipTydz also features a free valet service for customers, so you won’t have to worry about parking.
Benchwarmers Grill & Tap Room
There are a lot of sports bars in Myrtle Beach, but have you been to one of the newest at the beach? Benchwarmers just opened up this past year and is located in the old Tilted Kilt building off of 21st Ave North.
If you’re looking to watch a sporting event, this is the place to go! With 58 big screen TVs and 48 beers on tap, you won’t go thirsty or miss a play.
In addition to a great menu and happy hour specials, Benchwarmers offers 15 percent off for active and retired first responders and military.
If you’re staying at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes or Myrtlewood Villas, the Anchor Café is a convenient bar and grill to visit. With views and seating right on the Intracoastal Waterway, you can’t go wrong with this relaxed feel.
You’ll find a great variety of drinks at the Anchor Café, but what you really should try is the seared Ahi Tuna or Fish Tacos because the portions are very generous and the seafood is always fresh!
There are a number of bars located in Broadway at the Beach, but not many compare to the lively atmosphere you’ll find at Broadway Louie’s.
Along with featuring a number of televisions that play sporting events, Broadway Louie’s turns into a karaoke bar in the evenings. You’ll see some really talented folks step on the stage, and then you’ll get someone that’s had a little too much to drink and think he’s the next coming of Jon Bon Jovi.
Needless to say, if you want to enjoy some cold drinks and laughs, Broadway Louie’s is your place!
