Big-time course architects have constructed big-time golf in Myrtle Beach

Opened in 1994, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club was the first solo design for the great Mike Strantz. True Blue Golf Club would open just four years later on a piece of land adjacent to Caledonia. The natural beauty of True Blue is overwhelming, incorporating native marshland throughout the challenging yet rewarding 18 holes. Strantz’s efforts with Caledonia and True Blue were rewarded in 1998, when he was named “Architect of the Year” by Golf World.
Pete Dye (pictured) and his son P.B., names synonymous with golfing excellence, added to their family legacy with their own contributions in Myrtle Beach. Designed by the father and son, Prestwick Country Club’s layout is among the best in the Southeast—with the look and feel of a private country club.
The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf is an elegantly treacherous experience players won’t forget.
